| Who Are My Nutty Neighbors? My Nutty Neighbors is Itzah C. Kret's color illustrated children's book about grown ups who do crazy things. STUDS TURKEL says it's a "lively book for lively kids." If you are a current neighbor of Itzah C. Kret, or his wife, Eye'ma C. Kret, have no fear, it is not about you. It was written many years ago about a place that will remain a C. Kret. Like Itzah C. Kret's other published books, My Nutty Neighbors is written in verses that children ages 2 to 7 love. Especially boys! This book empowers children by allowing them to giggle at grown-ups doing silly things. It may also give them a good start at learning how to read. My Nutty Neighbors features Itzah C. Kret's own bird-letter type face. |

| Daniel Pinkwater, award winning Children's author and NPR Commentator recently reviewed My Nutty Neighbors and had the following to say: "This is a pretty good book! If Edward Lear were alive today, he would like it a lot. Unless, Edward Lear _is_ alive today, and he wrote it. The pictures are Learish, the verses too. It is wierdly facinating. The colors would probably cause Lear to dance about and jump up and down." |

| "Phonological awareness involves an appreciation of sounds as well as meanings of spoken words. A child who is phonologically aware, can demonstrate this, for example, by perceiving and producing rhymes . . . by noticing that groups of words have the same beginning . . . middle . . . or ending . . . . Recent research has confirmed that children who have a greater degree of phonological awareness when they start school are better equipped to learn to read."
