From Liberia Airport:
Head South (make a right out of airport) onto main road (Hwy 21) towards SARDINAL .
Turn right onto Route 151 at the Total Station (which is on your left), following signs to
Ocotal and COCO.
Follow road past the Cat Fish Pond & Restaurant on your right and Discotequa El
Sueno on the right. As you enter SARDINAL veer right, following the signs to OCOTAL,
and COCO,;
Pass the Esso Station and Captain Morgan's Pizza and Ladera on the Left.
After LaDera you will see signs for OCOTAL and COCO and a fork in the road. Veer Left.
Follow road into town of Playa COCO.
We strongly suggest you stop at the supermarket here and pick up essentials for
breakfast, snacks, etc. as the restaurant at the resort does not open until 11am and
there are no stores in the immediate area. There are four supermarkets in town. The
Mega Super is on the left a little bit off the main road on the way into Coco. The
traditional, real Costa Rican maket, the Luperon on your left as you enter town. The
new spiffy and Whole Foods like Auto Mercado on the right across from the Luperon.
And finally, the SuperCompro is on the left past the Luperon and Autmercado on the
road to Ocotal.
Continue down the main road in Playa del Coco, going past the Luperon/Automercado.
Turn left at the SuperCompro before hitting COCO Beach following signs to Ocotal,
Azul Paridiso and Bahia Pez Vela. (If you get to the beach you have gone .4km too far.)
The sign to Bahia Pez Vela says 3 km THIS IS WRONG, it is 4.6 K. It is 3 K to Ocotal from
here and another 1.6 from the Ocotal gate to Bahia Pez Vela.
Go .5 km from the turn off and then turn Right when the road dead ends.
Follow the road to OCOTAL and signs to Azul Paradiso. Be very slow and careful. It is
narrow and windy and there are a lot of pedestrians, dogs, chickens, cows and entire
families on a single bike.
Continue on the road, over the bridge to a triangle in the road (another .5 km). At the
triangle (where there's sometimes a fruit stand and sometimes just a payphone) turn
Left.
Go 2.3 km and on your left you will see a gate slightly up hill with a sign for BAHIA PEZ
VELA (and Picante and Casa Blanca and Azul Paradiso) veer left and go through the
gate (if you end up at Playa OCOTAL you have gone too far).
Follow the road and signs to BPV, Picante, Azul Paradiso and Casa Blanca. After .4 km
turn right (at the Casa Blanca hotel).
Follow the road for .9 km. Stay straight and do not turn left (turnoff for Azul Paradiso).
After going up a steep hill, you will see the gate to BAHIA PEZ VELA.
Go through the gate, enjoy the view, and go down the hill. At the stop sign turn right.
Cross the road and you will see no. 6 villa, the second carport on your right.
